1. Introduction
yOcala! is a community platform built on trust, respect, and authentic connection. These Community Guidelines establish the standards of conduct expected from every member of our platform. By creating an account or using yOcala!, you agree to follow these guidelines.
These guidelines exist to ensure that yOcala! remains a safe, welcoming environment for all users. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.
2. Prohibited Content
The following types of content and behavior are strictly prohibited on yOcala!:
- Harassment and Bullying: Content that targets individuals or groups with the intent to intimidate, demean, degrade, threaten, or persistently harass. This includes coordinated harassment campaigns, dogpiling, and sending unwanted repeated messages.
- Threats of Violence: Any content that explicitly or implicitly threatens physical harm, death, or injury to any person or group, including threats to attack, harm, or kill individuals or groups of people.
- Sexual Content Involving Minors (Absolute Ban): Any content that sexually exploits, depicts, or solicits minors in any way is absolutely prohibited and constitutes an immediate, permanent ban. Such content will be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and to law enforcement authorities without exception.
- Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery: Sharing, distributing, or threatening to distribute intimate or sexual images of a person without their explicit consent, commonly known as "revenge porn" or "non-consensual pornography."
- Fraud and Scams: Content designed to deceive users for financial gain, including phishing attempts, pyramid schemes, fraudulent investment opportunities, fake giveaways, and any other deceptive practices intended to defraud users.
- Impersonation: Creating accounts, posts, or profiles that falsely represent another person, organization, brand, or entity in a deceptive or misleading manner, including impersonating platform staff or administrators.
- Hate Speech: Content that dehumanizes individuals or groups on the basis of protected characteristics including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or immigration status.
- Copyright Infringement: Posting, sharing, or distributing content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others without authorization, including music, videos, images, written works, or software protected by copyright. See our DMCA Policy for more information.
- Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk messages, posting repetitive or irrelevant content to disrupt the platform, engaging in follow/unfollow manipulation, artificially inflating engagement metrics, or using automated tools to generate content or interactions.
- Illegal Goods and Services: Content that facilitates or promotes the sale or distribution of illegal goods or services, including controlled substances, weapons, counterfeit products, stolen goods, or any other item whose sale is prohibited by applicable law.
- Doxxing: Posting or sharing another person's private or personally identifiable information without their consent, including home address, workplace, phone number, financial information, or other private data, with the intent to harm, harass, or endanger that person.
3. Enforcement
We take violations of these guidelines seriously. Our enforcement process generally follows this progression:
- Warning: For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a warning and remove the offending content.
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated violations or more serious offenses may result in a temporary suspension of your account and all associated privileges.
- Permanent Ban: Severe or persistent violations will result in permanent termination of your account with no possibility of restoration.
Note: Severe violations — including but not limited to sexual content involving minors, credible threats of violence, doxxing, and non-consensual intimate imagery — will result in immediate permanent account termination without warning and may be referred to law enforcement authorities.
We reserve the right to determine the appropriate enforcement action at our sole discretion based on the context and severity of the violation.
